I Tatango…Do You?
With the increasingly busy and on-the-go lifestyles we lead it is extremely hard to convey a message to a group of people in a simultaneous and organized manner. Enter Tatango, a service that allows its users to send various forms of messages to anyone in a certain group. The initial user will set up a group, for example “employees”. From here the group leader can add members to this group allowing him/her to send text and voice messages to the entire group simultaneously. This is especially useful for school systems who may need to send instant and urgent messages to every member of the staff. Sales figures and motivational words can also be sent to the members of a sales team, and Katrina can mass text message everyone in her friends group as to what time to meet up for a movie on Friday night. Since opening their doors in September, 2008 Tatango has continued to show the world the power of technology.
Co-founded by CEO Derek Johnson, Tatango sets themselves apart from many businesses by engaging in their active community. The members of Tatango’s team are avid Twitter users. As a business that offers an incredibly efficient and useful service while taking the time to keep in touch with their community Tatango demonstrates key attributes that will equate to success. The Tatango team does not feel that they are too good to have interactions with their fans on Twitter and Facebook. Many successful people too often forget about “the little guy” or where they originally came from, (in terms of status). The members of Tatango ARE an exception. I personally have had conversations with the employees of Tatango through Twitter, and I invite you to do the same, they are a stand up group of people.
