Why I joined Gamefly Again…

As many of you know, I balance an extremely busy workload. Attending school, (soon to be graduate school), working, interning, and trying to have a life WHILE getting in some time for gaming can be very difficult. Also, the fact that I have a very tight budget because I’m a student makes picking up new games as they are released that much harder. Over the past 6 months I have missed playing many great games simply because I cannot afford to buy them all.

Well, today I re-joined Gamefly. I’ll now be able to catch up on the games I’ve missed like Halo 3: ODST, Dante’s Inferno, and a ton more. For literally half of the money it would cost me to buy one game each month I can now rent two at a time, for as long as I want. When I’m done I can send them back in and get two more. This makes more sense. I’ll also finally be able to break 50k gamerscore soon, (I’m at 37k right now). I had Gamefly last summer and decided to cancel once school started up due to lack of time for gaming but now, I’m going to make time, plain and simple.

Gamefly has given me a link to share with everyone where they can start a FREE TRIAL or join with a discounted $8.95 rate. Click below to see the offer:

I Tatango…Do You?

tatango_color_logo

With the increasingly busy and on-the-go lifestyles we lead it is extremely hard to convey a message to a group of people in a simultaneous and organized manner. Enter Tatango, a service that allows its users to send various forms of messages to anyone in a certain group. The initial user will set up a group, for example “employees”. From here the group leader can add members to this group allowing him/her to send text and voice messages to the entire group simultaneously. This is especially useful for school systems who may need to send instant and urgent messages to every member of the staff. Sales figures and motivational words can also be sent to the members of a sales team, and Katrina can mass text message everyone in her friends group as to what time to meet up for a movie on Friday night.  Since opening their doors in September, 2008 Tatango has continued to show the world the power of technology.

Western Digital My Book External Hard Drive

Recently I began looking around for a new external hard drive because my current drive is heading toward a slow and painful demise. I had a $100 Apple Gift Card from Amanda’s parents (they are awesome), so I decided the Apple Store would be the first place to look.

I was originally planning on purchasing a LaCie drive, however the store did not have any. So I followed my gut and picked up the 500GB Western Digital My Book Studio Edition. What really caught my eye was the FireWire800 compatibility. Having such a speedy connection would allow me to edit video on-the-fly with this drive. Western Digital is also a great name so I was not phased one bit on spending $150 on an external drive.

A very cool feature that I noticed immediately was the LED status light on the front of the drive. This light will actually light up based on how much of the drives capacity has been used. There is also an abundance of software preloaded on the drive which adds to the value. Western Digital backup anywhere, and turbo drivers all come preloaded.

MSI Wind Compact AC Adapter

Yesterday I received my new compact AC adapter for my MSI Wind netbook. I purchased this adapter because I was tired of the bulky power brick that was in the middle of the OEM charging cord and needed something smaller to travel with.

As you can see in the above video the power brick in this cable is located where the cord plugs into the wall, keeping it out of the way and easy to deal with. I can now sit far away from the wall outlet without having to worry about the bulky power brick getting in the way. The picture below illustrates just how much smaller the new adapter is when compared side by side to the stock adapter packaged with the Wind.

Burger King’s “Flame” Body Spray

After reading about Burger King’s Flame in a few articles I decided that I needed to try it for myself. While Flame can be purchased at some Burger King locations I was unable to track any down so I ordered some from Ricky’s Halloween Online.

Unfortunately I waited a month to receive mine simply due to such a high demand… who would have thought.

My unboxing and initial impression video:
